Bee friendly project
We’re very excited that one of the roundabouts that we sponsor is undergoing a bee friendly make over. The road improvements at Hard Ings in Keighley are finished, but work on the roundabout is just beginning. Airedale Beekeepers Association are designing the landscaping of the roundabout to incorporate pollinator friendly plants and promote bio diversity.
We have always supported and promoted initiatives to improve the environment, having been highly commended at the 2015 Keighley Business Award for excellence in corporate social and environmental responsibility, achieving plastic free business champion status and last year reaching the final of the national Security and Fire Excellence Awards for their CSR project on sustainability.
Patrick Beebe – our aptly named Sales & Technical Director, is keen to support the project: “We’re very happy to ‘bee’ involved in this worthwhile project and look forward to seeing the roundabout buzzing with flowers and wildlife next summer.”
So until then it may look a bit untidy but it will be worth the wait.
