Earlier this year we were shortlisted in the most prestigious awards in our business. The Security and Fire Excellence awards are known as “The Oscars of the security and fire industry”. They recognise the best security company and fire company and individuals in the industry.
Keybury’s Project
Keybury were shortlisted in the awards in the category of “CSR Project” for our work on sustainability. When is comes to being environmentally forward thinking, we’re the best security company around! Almost all of our waste is recycled. As a company, we challenge our suppliers on excess packaging and our HQ has solar panels on the roof which power our office and some of our vehicles. We choose environmentally sound vehicles, including an increasing number of EVs in our fleet. Keybury became the first business in Keighley to be awarded Plastic Free Business Champions by Surfers Against Sewage back in May 2019. We believe we’re the first security company to have achieved this status. We believe that protecting your home and business shouldn’t cost the earth. As we continually look at ways to improve across the business, we are always conscious of our footprint.
Big names, big achievement
Keybury Fire and Security were listed amongst some very big names in our category, and the overall winner had worked on a project with Google. This might give you some idea of the competition we faced and how proud we are to have achieved the accolade of being finalists. The categories included Security Manager of the Year, Fire Project of the Year and Security Project of the Year.
Giants and Glamour
The ceremony had all the glitz and glamour your might expect from an event designed to celebrate the country’s finest fire firms and best security company and projects. Tess Daly was our host for the evening. She arrived to the famous “Strictly” music and was full of praise for the winners. Awards were presented by some of the chiefs of the industry including IFSEC and NSI. Most of those at the dinner were national or international organisations with several branches across the country and 1000s of staff. We were particularly proud to have made the list of finalists amongst such giants of our industry. By comparison, our team of almost 50 staff operates from our head office in Keighley. Our size allows us to cater for larger businesses across the region whilst remaining the “local” choice.
