Keybury have long been supporters of Bradford City. This season we commenced our “Protect My Home” partnership with the club, sponsoring the defensive move of the month.
Keybury have a lot in common with defenders: We’re both protectors. Defenders protect the goal on the pitch with blocks and tackles. Keybury protect homes and businesses with fire and security systems.
The Protect My Home defender of the month is a monthly poll on twitter. The club select four epic saves and defensive moves from the previous month and twitter users cast their vote for their favourites. The 2021-22 season has seen some edge of your seat saves and defensive moves. Yann Songo’o, Luke Hendrie and Liam Ridehalgh all featured in the polls this season alongside keepers Richard O’Donnell, Sam Hornby and Alex Bass.
The winner was announced at the end of season awards dinner, and we were really proud to present Yann Songo’o with the trophy for Defender of the year 2021/22. This was his third trophy of the evening! He may need a bigger trophy cabinet…
We also took the opportunity to meet and greet the city team, including of course Mark Hughes, as well as Oscar Threlkeld, who we sponsored for the 2021/22 season.
