Standalone Door Access

Standalone Door Access

The simplest form of door access control is a standalone system. It’s a great solution for those wishing to secure a door or doors but don’t need a full-blown PC based network.

Systems comprise either a keypad or reader and separate control unit.

Readers are simply programmed and administrated using a card-programming pack. If someone should lose their access fob it can be easily removed from the system by swiping a ‘shadow card’. If the fob was subsequently found it would no longer work.

Should you have two or three doors you can create a simple ‘access level’ hierarchy e.g. Fob 1 works on door A only, fob 2 works or door C only and fob 3 works on doors A, B and C.
