Action against crime
Crimes in retail have continued to hit the headlines as records are once again broken. Shoplifting offences rose by 29% compared with the previous year. This is once again the highest figure ever recorded (breaking a recently broken record). An increasing number of local retailers are investing in deterrents such as CCTV and monitored security systems to protect their business.
As well as deterring criminals, high quality security camera systems can provide invaluable evidence. We have noticed an increase in posts on social media about criminals having been caught. CCTV is one of the tools which is capturing evidence of crimes such as theft and criminal damage. This evidence can then lead to arrests and prosecutions.
There are many measures home and business owners can take to help protect their premises. At Keybury we have decades of experience in bringing peace of mind with our security systems.
Many of our customers have opted to add a “personal attack alarm” or “panic alarm” button to their existing intruder alarm system. A monitored button can provide an immediate response in the event of a crime.
