National Home Security Month is back for 2021 aiming to help home owners to protect what matters most with high quality home security systems, tips and facts.

We’re pleased to be advocating National Home Security Month again this October; Working to increase awareness of the value of good quality home security – particularly as daylight hours become shorter.  At this time of year the long dark evenings lead to a rise in thefts. This is exacerbated by seasonal events when many are out of the house celebrating. This year the effect could be worse as many are returning to work and going back to the theatre, cinema and concerts for the first time in a long time.

Security can be overlooked until it’s too late. 9,730,000 homes have experienced break ins or attempted burglaries, say Aviva. So often people call us for help following a break in. It is devastating to see the impact of this, but humbling to help restore their peace of mind and help people to feel safe in their homes again. Many burglaries could be prevented through improved home security to deter criminals. For example: Did you know that you’re statistically less likely to fall victim of burglary if you have a well-fitted and well-maintained burglar alarm system installed? Criminals can spot the difference between a DIY alarm and a more sound system, so don’t skimp on this one. You’ll find more tips to avoid break ins on this blog.

Protect What Matters Most

We’ll be championing the “National Home Security Month” event all month, as we have for several years now. It’s primary aim is to prevent burglaries. This year’s message is “Protect What Matters Most” which echoes Keybury’s own message of protection. “It’s our family business to protect your family and your business”.

You’ll find plenty of facts and tips on social media using the hashtag #ProtectWhatMattersMost.
