About Fire Alarms
Every module of a fire alarm system needs appropriate documentation.
Commissioning and handover are integral to the overall process. Keybury employs fully trained designers, installers, commissioning engineers and service staff. The company can also undertake commissioning of a system installed by others.
Each fire-alarm module requires separate certification and adequately trained personnel. Fire alarm commissioning qualifications are wholly separate to that of installation, design and maintenance. Systems should not be commissioned by the same engineer who carried out the installation.Click Here
Fire Alarm design is one of the most important elements of a BS5839 system. To ensure you are legally compliant and insurance company approved then do not leave design to an unqualified person. Many people mistakenly assume architects or electricians have fire-alarm design qualifications when all too often they don’t.Click Here
As a BAFE approved contractor all our installation engineers are FIA trained and qualified. A fire alarm can be deemed ‘insufficient’ if any module falls below the required standard. Don’t entrust your system to unqualified electrical or alarm companies. For example red plastic cable-fixings may be common, cheap and quick to install but they certainly aren’t fireproof.Click Here
