  • Preventing arson,
  • Reducing false alarms,
  • Preventing common causes of business fires
  • Protecting sleeping accommodation

Fire Safety in your business

The NFCC is encouraging business owners to review their Fire Risk Assessments and escape plans. Keybury provide annual Fire Risk assessments, including use of our online portal to record fire safety actions. Business Safety week is a good opportunity to make sure your fire safety procedures are up to standard. It runs in September to allow you to be organised before the busy festive period. This is also well timed for our area as recent news articles have highlighted a number of fires in local businesses, sports clubs and even schools. Business owners are required by law to carry out a fire risk assessment and keep it up to date. If you don’t feel confident in carrying this out, you can enlist a fire risk assessor to do this for you. Book your fire risk assessment today. NFCC figures show that 33% of accidental primary fires in “non-residential” premises were caused by faulty or misused equipment. It is the employers responsibility to make sure that equipment is installed, maintained and correctly used. Staff are key to preventing fires in the workplace. Train them well and train them often. Taking simple precautions such as not overloading sockets can reduce the risk of fire at your premises. The implementation and maintenance of appropriate fire safety measures is also required by law. Choose a reputable approved company to design, install, commission and maintain your fire alarm system. If you’re wondering whether you need a fire alarm on your business premises, head over to our blog to find out.

Protect your business

arson security

Many businesses never recover after a fire. It’s crucial to ensure your property is properly protected which can reach beyond fire protection systems. Nearly 30% of fires in non-residential premises in the UK are deliberate. CCTV is a key tool in protecting your property from arson. Proactive security systems can alert business owners to potential criminal activity before it takes place. Our perimeter security systems offer real time notifications and reduce the risk posed by opportunist criminals.
