It’s that time of year again as participants across all departments of Keybury Fire and Security prepare for the annual charity challenge!
This year sees something a little different for the team as we head west for a 27.5 mile walk along Rochdale canal from Manchester to Hebden Bridge – with the added obstacle of the Pennines!
As always, half of our fundraising efforts will be donated to Manorlands Sue Ryder Hospice and the remaining half this year will be donated to the Stroke Association.
Our online donation page is already live as we plan to complete our challenge on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June. www.virginmoneygiving.com/team/keybury2016
This will be Keybury’s 4th annual charity challenge following on from the success of the Leeds Liverpool canal cycle in 2013, the combined 500 miles trek up 2 of Yorkshire’s 3 peaks in 2014 and last year’s Try-Athlon which seen our team not only cycle to Leeds and back by the canal and climb Whernside but also collectively swim the width of the English Channel!
These challenges have seen us raise over £7000 for our chosen charities – Manorlands Sue Ryder Hospice, Alzeimers Society, Meningitis Now and Epilepsy UK.
Watch out for news and photos across our social media as we undertake out latest challenge.
