Why are we planting 50 trees in Yorkshire?

Keybury are planting trees! We are supporting Welcome to Yorkshire‘s campaign to plant 5000 trees. We’ve pledged 50 trees as part of the scheme, and what’s more, we’re giving these trees away.

The trees are planted with a dedication, and come with a Welcome to Yorkshire Membership. Since 2020 was such a hard year for so many, we decided to gift these trees and memberships to some of our longest standing customers. Our staff were asked to nominate customers who have had Keybury systems for a long time, and we were overwhelmed with suggestions. May of our engineers, admin staff and managers have been with the company for a long time. Some of our engineers go back to the same customers every year to service their alarms. We have so many loyal customers who continue to trust us with the security of their homes and businesses.

2021 marks 39 years in the business for Keybury. Some of our customers have had Keybury systems since the 1980s. It has been a really joyful project and lifted the spirits of both our team and the customers involved. The tree and membership packs have been sent to customers across the district from Harrogate to Sowerby Bridge.

We’re well known for our commitment to environmental causes. One of the roundabouts we sponsor is being replanted as “pollinator friendly” in 2021. We recycle almost all of our waste – and have always gone above and beyond the requirements for business recycling. Our office has been running on solar panels since 2015 and we’re continually expanding our fleet of electric vehicles. We have received local and national recognition for our work. This includes SAS’s Plastic Free Business Champions, recognition at Keighley Business Awards in 2015, and at the national Security & Fire Excellence Awards in 2019.
