“Hey! Your house alarm is going off!” – it’s all well and good getting this message from your neighbour, but if they don’t have access to your house, they can’t do anything about it.
If you’re lucky enough to live in a place where neighbours look out for each other, you’ll likely interact with each other about issues like an alarm going off, a missing cat and bogus callers. It’s brilliant to be in a community such as this. Neighbourhood Watch groups are in every corner of the country and, together with other security measures, they can be effective in reducing crime.
Knowing your house alarm is going off is one thing. Understanding why is key to what you do about it. Hopefully any neighbour letting you know about your alarm has done a quick check to ensure your home looks secure and there’s no suspicious circumstances.
When you get this message, are you in a position to do something about it? There is a way to resolve this.
What If Your Phone Could Tell You That Your House Alarm Is Going Off?
Keybury Home Alarm System with App Control gives you real time notifications that your house alarm is activating. Not only that, but it can give you more details about what is going on.
The app can alert you to an activation and it will show you which area the activation is taking place (eg in the kitchen). This allows you to consider whether this is likely to be an intruder or not.
At this stage, you’ll probably want to check your cameras and and send a message on your neighbourhood watch group.
If you are happy that it’s false alarm (perhaps the dog got out?) then you can even silence the alarm from the app. But rather than just leaving your home unprotected, you can go a step further. The app allows you to temporarily remove a specific area and reset the system. So if you’ve decided that it’s probably that your dog is dancing on the kitchen table, you can close off the kitchen sensor and switch the rest of your alarm back on. Your home is protected again. You can do all this in moments, from your phone, from your desk.

*It’s probably worth pointing out…
Your house alarm isn’t supposed to randomly go off, so if you’ve had a false alarm, give us a call. Keybury maintenance cover is included with app cover. This provides 24 hour telephone support and access to our engineer call out service. So we can check your system over and ensure it’s working as it should, giving you complete peace of mind.
